Ingredients:

  • 1 lb cremini mushrooms, cleaned and halved
  • 1 tbsp avocado oil
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp dried thyme
  • 0.25 tsp cracked black pepper

Instructions:

  1. Wipe mushrooms with a damp paper towel to clean. Slice larger caps into uniform halves or quarters to ensure even cooking.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the avocado oil, soy sauce, garlic powder, dried thyme, and black pepper.
  3. Add the mushrooms to the bowl and toss vigorously until every piece is thoroughly coated in the oil-emulsion.
  4. Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Arrange mushrooms in the basket in a single layer, ensuring they are not overcrowded.
  5. Air fry for 10–12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through at the 6-minute mark to ensure even browning and crisping.
