Ingredients:

  • 3 lbs chicken wings, party style
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 cup hot sauce
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper

Instructions:

  1. Pat the chicken wings extremely dry with paper towels to remove surface moisture.
  2. In a large bowl, toss the wings with baking powder, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika until evenly coated.
  3. Preheat the oven to 425°F (218°C).
  4. Arrange the wings in a single layer on a wire cooling rack set over a baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 40–45 minutes, flipping the wings halfway through, until the skin is mahogany-colored and firm.
  6. While wings are roasting, whisk together the hot sauce, melted butter, honey, apple cider vinegar, and cayenne pepper in a large bowl until emulsified.
  7. Immediately transfer the hot wings from the oven into the sauce bowl and toss rapidly to coat.
