Ingredients:
- 2 cups (250g) crushed pretzels
- 4 tbsp (56g) melted unsalted butter
- 2 tbsp (25g) granulated sugar
- 8 oz (225g) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup (200g) powdered sugar
- 1 tsp (5ml) vanilla extract
- 2 cups (450ml) whipped topping
- 1 box (85g) strawberry gelatin
- 1 cup (240ml) boiling water
- 1/2 cup (120ml) cold water
- 2 cups (300g) fresh strawberries, sliced
Instructions:
- Melt the butter in a small microwave-safe bowl. In a separate bowl, combine the crushed pretzels and sugar, then stir in the melted butter until the crumbs are evenly coated. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of your serving bowl or distribute evenly among individual dessert cups.
- Beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar together until smooth and airy. Stir in the vanilla extract. Gently fold in the whipped topping using a rubber spatula to maintain volume. Spread this layer evenly over the pretzel base.
- Dissolve the strawberry gelatin in boiling water, stirring until no crystals remain. Stir in the cold water. Gently fold in the sliced strawberries.
- Let the strawberry mixture cool for approximately 10 minutes to prevent melting the cream layer, then carefully pour the glaze over the top.
- Refrigerate for 2 hours until the gelatin is set and the dessert is chilled.
