Ingredients:
- 3 cups (340g) crushed pretzels
- 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tbsp (25g) granulated sugar
- 8 oz (225g) cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar
- 8 oz (225g) whipped topping, thawed
- 1 tsp (5ml) vanilla extract
- 2 packages (170g) strawberry-flavored gelatin
- 2 cups (480ml) boiling water
- 1 cup (150g) frozen strawberries, thawed and drained
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Combine crushed pretzels, melted butter, and 2 tbsp sugar in a medium bowl until fully coated.
- Press the mixture firmly and evenly into the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking pan.
- Bake for 8–10 minutes until deep golden-brown, then remove from oven and cool completely.
- Beat softened cream cheese and 1/2 cup sugar until smooth and fluffy.
- Stir in vanilla extract, then gently fold in the thawed whipped topping using a rubber spatula.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the cooled pretzel crust.
- Dissolve strawberry gelatin in boiling water and stir in the drained frozen strawberries.
- Carefully pour the strawberry gelatin mixture over the cream cheese layer.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until the strawberry layer is fully set.
