Ingredients:

  • 3 cups (340g) crushed pretzels
  • 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tbsp (25g) granulated sugar
  • 8 oz (225g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar
  • 8 oz (225g) whipped topping, thawed
  • 1 tsp (5ml) vanilla extract
  • 2 packages (170g) strawberry-flavored gelatin
  • 2 cups (480ml) boiling water
  • 1 cup (150g) frozen strawberries, thawed and drained

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine crushed pretzels, melted butter, and 2 tbsp sugar in a medium bowl until fully coated.
  3. Press the mixture firmly and evenly into the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  4. Bake for 8–10 minutes until deep golden-brown, then remove from oven and cool completely.
  5. Beat softened cream cheese and 1/2 cup sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  6. Stir in vanilla extract, then gently fold in the thawed whipped topping using a rubber spatula.
  7. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the cooled pretzel crust.
  8. Dissolve strawberry gelatin in boiling water and stir in the drained frozen strawberries.
  9. Carefully pour the strawberry gelatin mixture over the cream cheese layer.
  10. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until the strawberry layer is fully set.
